The Teen Art Scholarship Program began at Sunvalley Shopping Center in 2000. Every year 500+ high school students from around Contra Costa County enter their art in the competition hoping to be one of the scholarship recipients. Most of the artwork is displayed throughout the month of the competition, turning Sunvalley Shopping Center into a local art gallery. Every year there is an awards ceremony to announce the winners of the competition. The theme for this particular year was the “Business of Art”, the above invitation to the awards ceremony was diecut to resemble a portfolio case.
